
Beef Brisket With Barbecue Sauce

2 1/2 pounds beef brisket
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
2 cloves garlic, minced
***Sauce***
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
Place the brisket in the crock pot. Combine the water, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, bouillon granules, dry mustard, chili powder, cayenne, and garlic. Take out 1/2 cup of the mixture and set aside. Pour the remaining liquid over the brisket.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 10 hours or until the meat is tender.
In a saucepan, combine the reserved cooking liquid, ketchup, brown sugar, and butter over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
Carve the brisket and serve the sliced meat with the sauce.
