Chinese Dry Rub

Serves/Makes: 4.5 tablespoons    |   Ready In: < 30 minutes

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (MSG), optional
3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Directions:
Combine the brown sugar, paprika, salt, MSG, turmeric, celery seed, dry mustard, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl and mix well.

Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to 2 months.

To use: rub the Chinese dry rub mixture evenly over pork, ribs, or chicken prior to grilling.
