Ingredients: 3/4 cup butter or margarine 9 tablespoons brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 egg yolk 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions: Cream the butter until light. Beat in the brown sugar. Mix until creamy. Add the vanilla and egg yolk.
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and cocoa powder. Add to the butter mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Shape by teaspoonful into 1-inch balls. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove to rack to cool.
