Ingredients: 1/2 cup margarine 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate 1 1/2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped ***FROSTING*** 1/4 cup margarine, softened 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar 2 teaspoons instant coffee 1 dash salt 1/4 cup Milk; approximately
Directions: For Cookies: Melt margarine & chocolate together. Cool 10 minutes. Add brown sugar to chocolate mixture. Add egg, vanilla & buttermilk. Add dry ingredients. Stir in chips & nuts. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 375F for 8 - 10 minutes. Cool; frost.
For Frosting: Blend all ingredients together. Use only enough milk to make frosting spreadable.
