Applebee's Walnut Blondie With Maple Butter Sauce
CDKitchen https://www.cdkitchen.com
Serves/Makes: 4    |   Ready In: 30-60 minutes

Ingredients:
***Dough***
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
***Maple Butter Sauce***
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup butter
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine the melted butter and brown sugar in a bowl and mix until combined. Stir in the beaten egg and vanilla extract. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture in 1/4 cup increments and mix until smooth. Stir in the white chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

Spread the blondie batter in the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with moist crumbs.

Meanwhile, combine the maple syrup, butter, and cream cheese in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Stir in the brown sugar and cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in the walnuts.

Serve the walnut blondie warm with a scoop of ice cream and the maple butter sauce.
