Ingredients: 1 cup flour 5 1/3 ounces margarine or butter 5 1/3 ounces sugar 2 2/3 eggs 2/3 pound raisins 2/3 teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 teaspoon mixed spice 1/3 teaspoon salt 2 2/3 ounces mixed peel 2 2/3 ounces cherries 1/3 pound prunes (chopped) 2/3 cup wine or brandy 2/3 teaspoon baking powder 2/3 teaspoon vanilla extract 2/3 lime or lemon, finely grated rind only 1 1/3 tablespoon browning
Directions: Cream butter, sugar and browning until soft and fluffy. Sieve all dry ingredients together.
Beat eggs, wine/brandy together. Add egg mixture to creamed butter and sugar. Add fruits. Add flour and fold in. Do not over-beat when mixing.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
