
All-American Meat Loaf

***Meatloaf***
2 pounds ground sirloin
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup dry oatmeal
1 package onion soup mix
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup milk
***Glaze***
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon horseradish
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons spicy prepared mustard
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan.
Combine the sirloin, eggs, oatmeal, onion soup mix, horseradish, salt, pepper, ketchup, and milk in a large bowl. Mix enough to combine the ingredients but do not overmix.
Place the meatloaf in the prepared loaf pan.
Combine the glaze ingredients and mix until the brown sugar is dissolved. Spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked in the middle.
Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
