Ingredients: 2 cloves garlic OR 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1/2 teaspoon cumin salt and pepper, to taste 1/2 teaspoon vinegar 3 drops lemon juice (fresh) 1 pound ground pork 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
Directions: Use for breakfast, lunch or supper. Cook with eggs, pinto beans and potatoes.
Mix garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, vinegar, pepper and lemon juice; put in ground pork. Add chili powder. Let sausage ripen 24 hours in refrigerator.
Cooking suggestion: Heat a very small amount of fat in skillet. Add chorizo and cook over medium heat, stirring, about 5 minutes or until meat browns.
Reduce heat; cover and cook about 10 more minutes, being careful not to dry chorizo. Break eggs into pan and scramble gently into chorizo until eggs set as desired. Good for breakfast. Serve with avocado or hot sauce, beans, flour tortillas and bread.
