
Stouffer's White French Dressing

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon dry ground mustard
1/8 teaspoon finely grated onion
1 clove garlic, peeled and left whole
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Let the dressing stand, covered, at room temperature for 1 hour.
Remove and discard the garlic clove.
Use the dressing immediately or store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
