
Texas Sheet Cake

1 cup butter
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sour cream
2 eggs
***Frosting***
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts, chopped
Bring to a boil the first four ingredients: butter, cocoa, water and sugar. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, salt, baking soda, sour cream and eggs. Add the hot mixture, stir together, pour into a greased cookie sheet with sides. Bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees F.
While the cake is baking, bring to a boil the cocoa, butter, and milk. Simmer, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla and walnuts. Mix well and pour over the hot cake. Cool and serve.
