Ingredients: ***Pizza Dough*** 1 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F) 1 1/2 tablespoon dry active yeast 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon olive oil 4 cups all-purpose flour ***Toppings*** pizza sauce shredded Mozzarella cheese pepperoni slices diced ham sliced salami chopped onions pineapple tidbits sliced mushrooms
Directions: Place the warm water in a large bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over the surface of the water and let it stand for 5 minutes or until the yeast dissolves.
Add the salt, olive oil, and flour and mix well until it forms a dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead the dough for 6-8 minutes.
Place the dough in a well-greased bowl. Lightly cover the top of the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise for 1 1/2 hours in a draft-free location.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet then sprinkle it with cornmeal.
Form the dough into 4-inch rounds and place on the baking sheet.
Top each pizza crust with pizza sauce then add any desired toppings. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is cooked and the toppings are heated through.
To make the mini pizzas ahead of time, the pizza crusts can be frozen before topping and baking. Let thaw at room temperature then proceed as directed.
