Kyoto Steak House Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients:
6 ounces chicken breast, skinless and boneless
salt and black pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
teriyaki sauce
sesame seeds, toasted if desired

Directions:
Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter or margarine to the pan to melt.

Place the seasoned chicken breast in the skillet. Cook the first side until it's lightly browned. This should take about 4-5 minutes, but keep an eye on it to prevent burning. Turn the chicken over to cook the second side. Let it cook for another 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F on a meat thermometer.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Add enough teriyaki sauce to the skillet to coat the chicken. Add the chicken back to the skillet and turn to coat it in the sauce. Let it cook in the sauce for 2 minutes over medium-low heat. Sprinkle the chicken with the sesame seeds and serve hot.
