Cheese Toast

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons shredded Monterey jack cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon minced green onion (white part only)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 clove garlic, pressed
1/4 loaf French bread, sliced

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

In a bowl, combine the shredded cheeses, parsley, and green onion.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.

Place the bread, face down, in the butter. Press gently so it is completely coated in the butter. Turn the bread over and coat the other side in the butter.

Place the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet. Top each evenly with the cheese mixture. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 450 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until the bread starts to brown and the cheese melts.

Serve the cheese toast hot.
