Serves/Makes: 6 | Ready In: < 30 minutes
3 cups all-purpose flour
6 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup milk, room temperature
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the bottom of a Dutch oven.
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, oil and milk in a bowl. Mix well until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface. Roll with a rolling pin to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut the dough with a biscuit cutter, re-rolling the dough as needed.
Place the biscuits in a single layer in the bottom of the Dutch oven. Cover the pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the biscuits are done.
Let the biscuits cool in the Dutch oven for 2-3 minutes then turn them out onto a wire rack.
