Ingredients: canola oil spray 12 slices two-day-old white bread 1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter 1/2 cup grape jelly 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon dark corn syrup
Directions: Spray 13" x 9" baking dish with cooking spray. Spread each of half the slices of bread with 1 rounded tbsp. peanut butter; spread each remaining slice with 1 rounded tbsp. jelly, and sandwich together. Arrange in baking dish.
In medium bowl with fork, mix egg, milk and salt until smooth. Pour over sandwiches in baking dish.
In small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over French toast. Bake immediately or cover and refrigerate overnight.
Uncover and bake in 350 degrees F oven 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut diagonally into four triangles. Serve topped with dark corn syrup.
