
Hoagie Dip

1/2 pound deli ham, sliced
1/2 pound Genoa salami, sliced
1/2 pound American cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
1 medium onion, minced
1/3 cup diced sweet or hot peppers (banana peppers, cherry peppers, or pepperoncini)
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 small head lettuce, shredded
3 tomatoes, seeded and diced
12 hoagie rolls
Coarsely chop the ham, salami, and cheese and place in a bowl. Add the oregano, onion, peppers, and mayonnaise and mix well. If serving immediately, add the lettuce and tomato and mix gently. If serving later, add the lettuce and tomato just before serving.
Slice the hoagie rolls into 1/2-inch thick slices, then cut the slices in half. Serve the bread as dippers with the hoagie dip.
