
Chili Tot Casserole

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 can (15 ounce size) chili beans, do not drain
1 can (10 ounce size) whole kernel corn, drained
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 bag (32 ounce size) frozen tater tots
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the ground beef and onion in a skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until the ground beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir the beans, corn, chili powder, and tomato sauce into the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Pour the ground beef mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Place the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the ground beef.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 45-55 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly in the middle.
Top the tater tots with the cheese and return the dish to the oven. Bake for 5-10 more minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve hot.
