What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

Good old sirloin steak, marinated to perfection in all sorts of spices. Great marinade for pork chops as well if (when) you end up loving it.

1 pound sirloin steak
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon coarse salt
2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Trim fat from steak. Cut steak into serving pieces. Mash garlic and salt together to form a paste.
Mix together chili powder, cumin, garlic paste, Worcestershire sauce, ground cloves, sugar, pepper, allspice, and oil and rub all over meat. Marinate meat in a resealable plastic bag. Let sit in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Prepare grill. Cook steaks until medium rare. Remove from grill and cut across grain into thin strips. Serve as desired.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Really good. The only thing I changed was not putting the meat in the fridge while marinating because room temperature meat cooks better. Super easy for when you don't have a lot of time.
