The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
3 quarts unsweetened pineapple juice
8 Lemons; juiced
8 Oranges; juiced
3 Limes; juiced
2 cups sugar
4 quarts ginger ale
2 quarts Plain soda water
green food coloring (optional)
directions
Combine fruit juices and sugar. Chill thoroughly. Just before serving, add ginger ale and soda water. Tint a delicate green, if you wish.
