This beer cheese spread is the life of the party... on a cracker. Perfectly tangy, creamy, and a hint of malty goodness.

8 ounces mild cheddar cheese, shredded
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 green onion, finely minced
1/4 cup beer, at room temperature
1 dash cayenne pepper
Combine the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, green onion, beer, and cayenne pepper in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until the cheese mixture is light and fluffy.
Transfer the beer cheese spread to a ramekin or bowl. Serve immediately or if serving later, store in the refrigerator, covered. Let the cheese spread come to room temperature before serving.
Pre-shredded cheese often contains anti-caking agents like potato starch or cellulose, which can create a gritty or lumpy texture. Freshly grated cheese has a higher moisture content, making it ideal for recipes that require a creamy, rich texture.
