1 cup isopropyl alcohol
1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid
directions
Combine all the ingredients and store in a plastic jug with a tight fitting cap. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
Use as a refill for windshield washer fluid or put in a spray bottle to wash windows manually.

Worked great...cheap alternative to buying it at the store! My husband always laughs because every day he comes home from work I have figured out something new to make myself!!
I would use an even smaller amount of soup, possibly 1/4 tsp,it is acting only as wetting agent, too much soap will cause foaming and/or smearing.
Remember that dish washing soap dries out car paint, and windshield washer fluid will usually splash onto the paint. Probably a minor issue, but still something to think about. :-)

Works great - and smells a lot better than the commercial stuff (I used wintergreen-scented alcohol)
