Fried Peanut Butter Toast
- add review
- #24425
Think of this like a reverse grilled peanut butter sandwich. The peanut butter is on the outside of the bread instead of inside.
under 30 minutes
ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup boiling water
4 slices bread
3 tablespoons butter
directions
Combine the peanut butter and boiling water in a shallow dish. Stir well to blend.
Toast the slices of bread.
While the bread is toasting, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip the toasted bread slices into the peanut butter mixture, coating the toast completely on both sides. Let any excess liquid drip off. Place the toast in the skillet and cook on both sides until lightly fried.
Serve immediately.

It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
