Amy M. Powell is a graduate of the famed International Culinary Institute (formerly The French Culinary Institute). She also holds a degree in Hospitality Administration from Cornell University.
Amy has appeared on television and radio, including the 2009 Food Network series Chefs vs. City.. She has covered cocktail culture and entertaining for The Hooch Life. She has prepared food for patrons of upscale restaurants both in The Hamptons and in California wine country. She also has worked for some of the most prestigious wine, mineral water, and tea suppliers in the US, specializing in the fine dining market.
Over the last ten years Amy has called either New York or California home. She currently resides in Manhattan a short walk from Chelsea Market, her favorite food hall. When she is not cooking, she enjoys running marathons, reading The New Yorker, volunteering for Room to Read, watching independent movies, and mastering the art of the cocktail.
